Effective soothing relief of chesty coughs.
Children 6 - 12 Years: Give two 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day. Maximum daily dose 40 ml.
Children Under 6yr: Not recommended.
If you forget to give a dose, give it as soon as you remember, unless it is time for the next dose. Do not give two doses at the same time.
Benylin Childrens Chesty Cough contains the following ingredients: Guaifenesin Ph Eur 50mg, Glycerol, Sorbitol Solution, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Sodium Citrate, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Strawberry Flavour and Water.
If your child accidentally takes too much medicine tell your doctor at once. If you cannot do this, go to the nearest hospital accident and emergency (casualty) department. Take along any medicine that is left, the bottle and the label, so that the hospital staff can easily tell what medicine your child has taken.
Side-effects are not common with Benylin Children's Chesty Coughs, and when they do occur, are usually mild. If your child gets any unusual effects, stop giving your child the medicine and tell your doctor or pharmacist at once.
